5月2日 Dentist... EurghOoowwww!! I've just got back from the dentist. I was in the chair for over an hour! And you know what... The anasthetic is just
kicking in fully... I feel like there's an apple stuck in my throat. I
have such sore gums from all the injections, I just wouldn't numb up
quick enough :o( And to make it worse, the left side of my face is
somewhat reminiccent of Marlon Brando in Godfather. I look a state, lol. So I have to go back on Monday. It's still infected, so I have some antibiotics (I'm not allowed ANY alcohol at all!!!) and my tooth, which has mostly been drilled, is filled with cotton wool and a sort of plaster on top, I can't eat with the left side of my mouth until it's done... I'm not impressed. And to make matters worse... We've still not heard about the house!!! Tomorrow, we're promiosed... 5月1日 Updated...Haha, I've finally updated my blogger template, and now it looks cool. For an update on my other news, also look on the other blog, sorry, but I can't be bothered to type it all up twice, cos MSN doesn't like the html formatting I use over there... 3月20日 Employment Situation...OK, so most of you know I'm working for an agency at the moment, and I've been having problems getting anyone to give us a mortgage for a house... Well on Thursday, I attended an interview with the company I'm temping with, and on Friday, my boss recieved an e-mail saying they had decided to offer me the job. From what I gathered today, I will be starting in the next two weeks... I've been using ubuntu, as you can probabally guess, but I'm looking at LFS at the moment, too. I'll probs give it a go, once I get around to sorting out a new PC... It's about time I updated here, isn't it... lol So much for "sometime soon" eh? well, I'm here now, and that's all that matters.
So, Where do I start... I guess You know I moved house from my last post, it was MAD! So stressful and Catherine wanted everything sorted straight away, so no relaxing after lugging heavy boxes in from the van oh no!! We spent the following two weeks getting everything sorted, painting the house (we did ask the landlady first, don't worry) and moving furniture about. After that, I started looking for a job again, and again, I couldn't get one, cos I don't have the BPS accreddiatation. So there we go...
Then I finally gave up on pyschology, I'm taking the BPS exam in June and psychology can wait until after that. I joined a temp agency and I'm now working for the government. I'm an AO in the Tribunal Service in the Visit Visa section, dealing mostly with appeals for family visit clearence from Pakistan and Nigeria. It's not bad and it pays well, so I'm happy doing that for now.
There were so many things I wanted to say but I have forgotten (if I could get on here from work, I would have posted them by now, but I haven't, cos I don't)
No doubt I'll remember sometime, hopefully it'll be soon.

I passed my driving test yesterday!!! I got 4 Minors, so I'm pretty happy!!! Nothing between me and the open road now!!! Mwahahahahaha!!!

Well, things have been busy recently... I've had so much happening over the last few weeks, I've not even had time to go out into Retford... Not impressed!! There's a few people who'll be thinking I'm avoiding them (Wenna, Becca, I'm not avoiding you!! I've just been busy!!) While I am still no closer to finding a job (I must have put in about 40 applications in the last 3 months) I have managed to find a house to move into in Leicester. We've been down there a few times, since the first house we found fell through. Catherine has passed her driving test, and mine is this Friday... Nervous!!!
Nothing really eventful happening at all, just stuff like that, boring and taking most of my time... Fun!!! :o(

Now, my driving test is booked for the 9th September, but I still have to tick the "no" box on application forms until then... Besides, unless I can start remembering to check my blind spot before I pull off, I will fail it then, anyway.
In other news, I got a new camera, a Canon PowerShot A520
 it cost me an exrta £20 in the end so I'm no impressed at all with eBuyer. Their returns policy sucks and sooner or later, they will lose all their long-term customers and have to fix it, until then, I can't be arsed with them anymore, and I advise you to keep away from them, too.
Also, My graduation photos arrived today... I'll attach one of Catherine and me to this entry
 Actually, I'm tired now, it's too hot here at the mo... Maybe I'll come back and write more later...

Today the family had a big barbeque, and well, being the best cook in the family, I was nominated for the cooking.. I hate the smell of smoke in my clothes, so I took my shirt off, and now I have the most horrid sunburn all over my shoulders... I hope it's cleared up by Friday... When I graduate!!

Sorry for the lack of updates over the last week-or-so. It's been incredibly hectic and I've been too busy. So... University is over and I've little-to-no chance at all of getting funding for my PhD. So, I've been looking for jobs, main problem is everyone wants at least two years of experience in the area... Funny, I don't see how I can get expeience without having the job first!! We've also moved out of Norwich, so I am officially back in Retford, not that I have anywhere to stay, really... Mum's conservatory (where I was gonna stay) isn't gonna be done for three weeks -- at least, so we're staying at Catherine's. We got our results this last week, too... Obviously, Catherine got a First Class degree, no surprises there, sac. I was well impressed with myself, though, I actually managed a 2:1 :-D YAY!!! Celebrated in Norwich with a bottle of pink champaigne (which turned out to be almost orange!!) and I'm off out into Retford tomorrow (Friday) night aswell!! What else.... :o\ Oh yeah, finally got round to learning to drive, sac, I have my first lesson on Monday with Lauren Shreif's dad!!! Wish me luck!!! W00t!! I passed my driving theory test!! 33/35 for the MCQ bit and 55/75 for the Hazard Perception bit... Pretty good considering the monitor's refresh rate was piss poor and was interfereing with my ability to watch the videos!! As if you needed to ask, Catherine got full marks for the MCQ bit and about 66/75 for the Hazard Perception... Give it 2 months and we'll be running over your pet cat/dog (delete as applicable) Mwahahahahaha!!! Currently Listening to:

I went to Catherine's uncle's funeral. It was a beautiful service, and I'm sure he was looking 'down' from wherever he is now and smiling. Catherine feels better now, though, which is great! 2月13日 YAY Catherine is back!!!Catherine is back again after the weekend away. She thinks her interviews went Ok so we'll just have to wait and see... I've still not heard from anyone about my PhD applications yet, so I'm working as hard as possible to stick something extra into my proposals so I can give them a little reminder, disguised as "here, I've updated my proposal, please read this one instead" hee hee, I just hope it works. Aside from that, cos I had nothing better to do, I've almost completed Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines this weekend, I'm expecting to have it done by the end of tomorrow... I just hope the Blood Hunt (or whatever it's called) that was called on Nines hasn't had him killed :o( Although I was impressed by how you could choose so many different paths through it, it didn't really allow me to reflect my personality in my dialogue options... lol
2月10日 Lonely Weekend :o(Tomorrow, Catherine has two PhD interviews at Manchester University. And since neither of us can drive yet, her mum has just been to take her home for the weekend, so she can be there on time tomorrow... This means that I get the weekend alone. Unfortunately, everyone seems too busy to do anything with me. Some friends from home can't come, cos it's too far to drive to get here (which is fair enough, it is 2 ½ hours..) Everyone down here seems to either be going to the cinema with other people I don't know, or something else equally inacessable to me... Maybe they just don't really like me, eh? Well, it looks like I'm gonna be spending the weekend with my good malty friends, Glenmorangie (Various Varieties), Glen Moray, Yamazaki and so on... Don't worry, I'm not gonna get drunk or anything... I'll prolly have a few glasses while I watch Pulp Fiction again, Jakie Brown and White Men Can't Jump, lol. Oh and if anyone has any good ideas whaty I could get Catherine for Valentines Day, do let me know... I usually make an expensive, overblown romantic gesture, but I promised to spend no more than a fiver this year!!
1月9日 Quick UpdateOK a quick update on my day... I got bored very soon after my last post and kinda stopped working... In the space of today, I've managed to write only 250 words, lol... Hopefully I'll be able to post again tonight and be finished!!
Edit: I found this on the internet while procrastinating... Dizzy Petition You should go there, please... Sign it... Dizzy was the most influential part of my getting into gaming... Oh By The Way...If you've got your own blog on MSN Spaces, nobody will be able to read it unless you change the settings to public. It's under settings, in the permissions bit, you need to select public, otherwise nobody will be able to read it.
